The Swedish organization Snilleblixtarna (“Flashes of Genius”) puts the fun back into science and technology. School children are encouraged to be creative and realize their dreams. The result is thousands of amazing inventions — just look at the ones shown here!
On May 14 more than 1,500 “snilleblixtar” from all over Sweden gathered at a big fair in Göteborg to exhibit their smart inventions. Below are six contributions from previous years, drawn up by illustrator Sanna Rosén. On the right you’ll find a few of this year’s brilliant ideas. Spot any future Nobel Prize winners?
