Swedish cinema

Current Swedish cinema is local yet international, shunning neither large nor small. The films present both the ordinary and the extravagant and range in scope from epic megamovies to cell phone creations on microbudgets. Bergman often turns up in discussions about Swedish film, but the directors who have just embarked on their careers try out fresh approaches and explore new genres to create a stir of their own.
