New fiction in Sweden

What is happening in Swedish fiction today? New Fiction in Sweden is a presentation of ten young writers and the same number and variety of styles and temperaments. Arts columnist Ingrid Elam, a well-known critic to Swedish readers, was given a free hand in choosing the authors to represent the diversity of contemporary Swedish fiction.

This is one of a series of Swedish Institute publications on the arts in Sweden today. They present the latest developments in fiction, children’s literature, cinema, design, dance and pop music, with the aim of encouraging interest in Sweden and promoting international contacts.
