General questions
Please note that the Swedish Institute (SI) is a public agency that promotes interest in Sweden abroad. SI seeks to establish cooperation and lasting relations with other countries through active communication and cultural, educational and scientific exchanges. Hence we cannot answer specific questions about where to buy certain things in Sweden, personal questions about relatives in Sweden or where to find a job in Sweden, etc.
If you want to talk to Swedes and ask these types of questions, we recommend that you join one of our communities, Communityofsweden.com for tourism and chit-chat or Swedenintouch.se for career-related issues.
Please note that all correspondence with a Swedish authority is open to the public. This means that anyone, including the mass media, has the right to read it.
Printed versions of the fact sheets and publications are available through Swedenbookshop.com. For specified purposes you can also contact the nearest Swedish Embassy for free copies. Please go to Swedenabroad.com for a list of addresses and phone numbers.
