The Swedish election to the European Parliament took place on Sunday June 7. Voter turnout was 43.8 percent. This is admittedly higher than the 37.1 percent in the 2004 election, but still low. Why?
Sweden.se will dig deeper into this question by talking to some Swedes about their relation to and opinions about the EU. Their thoughts will be published here in July, when Sweden takes over the EU chairmanship.
