Sidewalk Sweden — summer edition

Two days, two Swedish towns, in total six short films with interviews about everything from ice creams to the meaning of life. Sweden.se has been to Lysekil and Visby for the summer edition of Sidewalk Sweden — meet the people.

Visby is the principal city on Gotland, the largest island in the Baltic Sea. The island practically explodes with tourists during the summer months. We’ve talked to locals and visitors to find out more.

Typically known for its tourism, fishing industry and marine research, Lysekil is a true coastal town where granite cliffs meet the sea. We’ve talked to people on the streets to get to know the place better.

Last part: I love Sala and Gothenburg (Fiskebäck) wich I used to live in, the neighborhood around Skånegatan (Stockholm) is also ok and if I stilled lived in Sweden I would gladly invite each and everyone who wanted to explore for themselves Sweden, or show them some parts that I (!) like. however I now study medicine in Romania and I think Tírgu-Mures is nice to. I love a part of Sweden but thats just becuase my family and my friends live there...
goodbye you guys...

Part2:I will not say Sweden is great simply becuase I havent been to every single part of it. I am sure many places are just wonderful and most people are nice but please folks, dont have any high expectations just becuase you have watched six clips and read 9 comments. I think everybody knows this I just want to make this clear. Just becuase you are from Ural/Peru and lived there your entire life doesnt mean you know every single part of Peru and can honsestly say your whole country is great

Hejsan allihopa!
(Part 1)
I love almost every part in sweden I been to and can remember, but I wont say that Sweden is great or that I think people should move here just becuase sweden is one of the greatest countries ever.
Remember that we are all different and you should be careful to say something or give advice when it comes to a whole country

Every country has another side to it, that is sad and unavoidable I guess in todays social and economical climate...its up to you whether you choose to visit those areas....but you can't deny that Sweden definately is one of the most beautiful countries with some of the nicest people and I for one would swap my place in England anyday! These videos made me smile and yearn to be there...one day!

"not accepted swede". Sounds to me like you don't like Sweden or Swedes much, so get the hell out then...try living elsewhere. The secret to life is simple "no matter where you go, there you are", You wont be happy anywhere until you learn to love, first yourself.
Unsolicited advice from a Swede living abroad.

Fear less, hope more. Talk less, say more. Hate less, love more. And all good things are yours. (Swedish proverb.)

If you ever visit Stockholm you should visit places as Fittja, Norsborg, Rinkeby, Södertälje, Flemingsberg, Sollentuna, Husby or Akalla and see the real side of sweden.

PART2:Stockholms suburbs are segregated, with immigrants living in one neighbourhood and ethnic swedes living in another neighbourhood. Even if you are born in sweden and have a swedish citizenship you will never be seen as a swede or equal as a swede! people always mind their own bussiness and never want to step on anybodys toes, they are the ultimate pacifists on the outside but behind closed doors they let out their anger.

Sweden is a cold, boring an segregated country with cold people who never say things to your face but rather talk about you behind your back. BUT... it's a clean country with fresh air and fresh water. The food tastes like air (nothing) and swedes rather not talk to each other if they dont know eachother.

This was most interesting and informative. Very well done and the pictures were just great. Especially for me as I very much enjoy harbors, boats and things connected with the sea and water. My wife, of 58 years, is from Danydred, and it made her homesick for another visit to her home. Thanks again for the enjoyment. Keep up the wonderful work!!!!!
